Abstract

This study is a collection of the major statistical resources related to the economic valuation methods of environmental assets and catastrophes like the one of the Prestige. As all attempt to carry out a representative survey, it results a bit limited, and this is due to the personal knowledge of the authors and their subjective preferences at the moment when they focus their attention and interest. The aim of this section is not to hold an exhaustive revision of all data, but it rather highlights the sources of reference information in order to deal with the theme of the valuation techniques of the environmental assets.
