Intermediarios bancarios frente a mercados financieros

Abstract

This article seeks to give an overview of the financial structure implications for the real economy examining the two classics financial models in the evolution of financial systems: the market-based and the bank-based. The article analyses the main trends over the last decade regarding financial depth in general and above all, with regard to the development of the financial markets ant their internationalization and some implications of the latter aspect on the steady financing and the long term investments and projects of business. The stability and the long term commitment in the running of companies provided by banking sector, versus financial markets, was the prevailing idea ten years ago.
