Perspectivas para el sector de las telecomunicaciones en Euskadi

Abstract

This article concentrates on the perspectives derived for the Basque Country from the unstoppable process of liberalization that the telecommunications sector is now undergoing. The author first presents a strategic vision of this sector of capital importance for the modernization of our economy. Next, the repercussions that the liberalization of the market are having and will have in the Basque Country in the future are briefly commented. Finally, after describing the state of the telecommunications infrastructures created by means of Euskalnet, the paper deals with the orientation of the various actions to undertake with a view to the future development of the sector.
