El problema del paro en Europa: causas y remedios

Abstract

This article is mostly based on the analysis and proposals container in the European Commission''''s white paper on Growth, Competitiveness, Employment. Firstly, specific features of unemployment in Europe and its evolution are describes. Next, the leading explanations for such a situation are introduced, with special emphasis on the so-called structural factors. Finally, the study prepares proposals of solutions to the problem, including actions to be developed both at European Union and at nacional authorities levels.
