Abstract

The Basque Financial System faces the decade of the 90s with important challenges, but with great confidence. lt may be observed, specifically, the necessity of a full autonomous financial system. The strength and projection of Banks and Saving Sanks and the role of Bilbao as a financial city have a special outstanding for the development of our financial system. At the same time, the role of the Basque Public institutions, specially the Treasuries, are significant in relation to public financing, fiscal policy and the future configuration of the Basque Public Financial Institution.
