Abstract

The state in which surface waterways find themselves in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country is well-known. Their recovery depends to a great extent on an adequate hydrological planning which establishes quality aims for each strecht of river in accordance with the different uses as well as the initiation of reconditioning plans which will provide the necessary infrastructure for the correct treatment of residual waters.
