Bu calisma bir topluluk dili olarak muhasebenin "isletmelerin dili" olarak tanimlanmasindan hareketle, muhasebe metinlerinde kullanilan metaforlarin, bilginin ve anlamýn yaratilmasi ve aktarilmasi surecinde oynadigi rolun onemine dikkat cekmeyi amaclamaktadir. Bu yaklasim, muhasebe metinlerinde matafor kullanýmýna deginirken, dili bagimsiz bir alan olarak, diger ekonomik ve toplumsal sureclerin onune cikarmamaktadir. Metafor kullanimini temellendiren varsayimlara yonelik elestirel bir bilincliligin yaratilmasi, muhasebenin urettigi bilginin gucunu artirabilir.
