Abstract

Hayatin kalitesi kavrami gunumuzde her alanda yaygin bir sekilde kullanilan bir kavramdir. Saglik bilimlerinden, isletme bilimi ve bunlarin alt disiplinlerine kadar genis bir alanda bu konuyla ilgili yapilan calismalari bulmak mumkundur. Insan hayatina kalite getiren unsurlari objektif ve subjektif olarak ikiye ayrilmaktadir. Objektif kriterler arasinda kisinin saglik statusu, ekonomik durumu, barinma kosullari, ikamet yeri ve aile durumu gibi kriterler yer almaktadir. Kisinin subjektif kriterlerine bakildiginda ise kisinin degisimi ve dissal kosullarin da varligi gorulebilir, ayni zamanda kisinin hisleri, duygulari ve hayata bakisi da subjektif saglik kavrami icinde yer almaktadir. Objektif kalite belirtilen olculerden elde edilebilir, ancak subjektif anlamda kalitenin belirlenmesi icin kisinin kendi beyani gerekir. Bunun icin uygulamada bircok yontem vardir. NHP, QALY ve Swedish Instrument gibi. Bu calismada uzerinde durulacak konu, gunumuzde oldukca populer olan hayatin kalitesi konusuna Aristo, Bentham ve Nordenfelt’in yaptigi felsefik katkilarin literaturden yararlanarak irdelenmesidir.
