Abstract

This research employs data from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China, covering the period from 2012 to 2022, to explore the effects of financial innovation and agricultural investment on the sustainable progress of the rural economy. The study reveals that: financial innovation plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable rural economic development; agricultural investment serves as a catalyst for sustainable rural economic growth; the influence of financial innovation on sustainable rural development varies across different regions; and the impact of agricultural investment on sustainable rural economic development also exhibits regional heterogeneity.
