Abstract

The interest on ZnS and its modification as ZnS based composite for solar cell based material has been exponentially increasing. During the past three decades, ZnS has been successfully prepared from conventional synthetic routes such as one pot synthesis, sol gel formation, hydrothermal preparation as well as solid state reaction. Up to the present time, ZnS has been further developed as ZnS based composite materials in order to extend the quality of utilization. From viewpoint of solar based materials, the potential of ZnS as well as any challenges will be discussed.
