Abstract

A drive-response scheme of reservoir computers coupled by a nonlinear controller is proposed to realize lag synchronization. Numerical results on several typical chaotic systems have well demonstrated the effectiveness of this scheme. It does not require the computation of the Lyapunov exponents, and can be taken as a key step for a new data-driven route achieving lag synchronization.
