Abstract

The dynamical analysis of beam structure is commonly performed by discretizing the considered model into low-dimensional elements and integrating their dynamic behaviors. In this paper, we model a beam structure as a complex dynamic network (CDN), where the discretized elements act as dynamic nodes, and the time-varying stiffness characterizes the dynamic links between them. We establish second-order dynamic models for both nodes and links, and design a controller to achieve link-node synchronization. Unlike traditional approaches relying on Lyapunov functions, we propose a novel method that avoids constructing any Lyapunov function, and instead derives an exponential convergence criterion using parameterized solutions of the error systems. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed control strategy.
