A GIS-based optimal design method for district cooling system pipe networks

Abstract

District cooling systems (DCS) improve urban cooling efficiency and support low-carbon energy infrastructure, but the strong coupling among plant siting, service zoning, network topology, pipe sizing, and hydraulic performance makes manual layouts and single-objective designs inadequate for multi-plant planning.
