Abstract

This paper investigates the role of scarcity in glove games, where scarcity requires that the side with fewer gloves receives no less than the other side. We show that the equal collective gains value allocates an equal total surplus to both sides for all glove games. Based on this result, we prove that all values for glove games satisfying efficiency, symmetry, individual rationality, and scarcity are precisely the convex combinations of the equal collective gains value and the equal allocation of nonseparable contribution value.
