Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. states could issue emergency allotments in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to increase the amount of monthly benefit received by participating households. The aim of this study was to examine the association of SNAP emergency allotment expiration with household food sufficiency, overall and by adult work status and the presence of children in the household.
