Abstract

This article presents the voices of at-risk girls in Israel regarding their difficulty understanding their life story, presenting it, and dealing with its apparent incoherence. The qualitative study, conducted with 12 young graduates of two locked residential care institutions for at-risk girls in Israel, aims to bring forth the seldom-heard voices of said population group, in order to better understand its needs and improve its treatment and rehabilitation.
