On one interesting case of switching nonlinearity

Author

Abstract

It is firstly explained that the chaotic states in [Liu X, Teo K-L, Zhang H, Chen G. Switching control of linear systems for generating chaos. Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 2006;30:725–33] are obtained by means of nonlinear switching, which is not clearly stated in [Liu et al., 2006]. This explanation shows the usefulness of the point of view on classification of switched systems as linear or nonlinear, which was developed in some recent works of the author. Then, some comments on the importance of the study of switched systems for the general theory of dynamic systems are made. This importance is seen, in particular, through analysis of the topic of nonlinearity.
