Abstract

This paper presents the derivation of exact solutions to both space fractional-order and space–time fractional-order time-delayed diffusion equations, incorporating specific initial conditions. The exact solutions can be expressed as a series utilizing Fourier-Laplace transform methods in conjunction with the properties of delay fractional Mittag-Leffler functions. Our analysis reveals that when the initial values belong to fractional Sobolev spaces Hs(R) with 0
