Abstract

Presenta un resumen de los enfoques teoricos - y una evaluacion de su pertinencia - que se han planteado para analizar los problemas del ajuste ante desequilibrios del sector externo de los paises de America Latina: el de la cuenta corriente que pone el enfasis en el comercio internacional; el de la cuenta de capitales que lo pone en los flujos de financiamiento; y el monetario de la balanza de pagos que se centra en el equilibrio global de los pagos internacionales.
