Türkiye’de Çevresel Kuznets Eðrisi Hipotezinin Geçerliliði: ARDL Sýnýr Testi Yaklaþýmý

Abstract

Bu çalýþmada, Türkiye’de Çevresel Kuznets Eðrisi Hipotezi 1960-2010 dönemi yýllýk verileri ile araþtýrýlmýþtýr. Bu amaç için, kübik bir model kullanýlmýþtýr. Modelde karbondioksit emisyonu, gelir ve enerji tüketimi arasýndaki iliþkiler incelenmiþtir. Ekonometrik yöntem olarak ARDL sýnýr testi yöntemi kullanýlmýþtýr. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; uzun dönemde ÇKE hipotezini destekler bir sonuca ulaþýlmamýþtýr. Bunun yanýnda, enerji tüketiminin uzun dönemde karbondioksit emisyonunu arttýrdýðý sonucuna ulaþýlmýþtýr. Bu sonuç çerçevesinde Türkiye’de çevresel kirliliði azaltmak için özellikle yenilenebilir enerji politikalarýnýn önemi vurgulanmýþtýr.
