Deutsche Wirtschaft: Schleppende Erholung nach tiefem Fall: Grundlinien der Wirtschaftsentwicklung im Sommer 2020

Abstract

Die Corona-Krise hat der deutschen Wirtschaft tiefe Wunden zugefügt, die trotz einer beherzten Wirtschaftspolitik nur langsam heilen dürften. Die teilweise Rücknahme des Lockdowns und eine allmähliche Belebung internationaler Wertschöpfungsketten entfalten positive Impulse, massive Einkommensausfälle werden die Nachfrage aber für geraume Zeit bremsen. Die Bundesregierung dürfte zwar mit ihren Gegenmaßnahmen Schlimmeres verhindern und die Binnenwirtschaft stabilisieren, kann aber kaum etwas gegen eine am Boden liegende Auslandsnachfrage ausrichten. Diese spiegelt die teils verheerenden Auswirkungen der Krise auf den Arbeitsmärkten vieler Länder wider. Unter dem Strich wird die Erholung auch hierzulande schleppend verlaufen: Die deutsche Wirtschaft kann den Rückgang des Bruttoinlandsprodukts um 9,4 Prozent in diesem Jahr mit einem Zuwachs von 3,0 Prozent im kommenden Jahr bei Weitem nicht wettmachen.
