Wachstumstempo der deutschen Wirtschaft normalisiert sich nach Jahren der Hochkonjunktur: Grundlinien der Wirtschaftsentwicklung im Winter 2018

Abstract

Die Jahre des überdurchschnittlichen Wachstums der deutschen Wirtschaft sind vorbei – unter dem Strich steht sie aber weiterhin nicht schlecht da. Zwar wird das hiesige Bruttoinlandsprodukt in diesem Jahr mit 1,5 Prozent deutlich weniger zunehmen als noch zu Jahresbeginn erwartet. Sorgen vor einer unmittelbar bevorstehenden Rezession dürften angesichts einer robusten Auslandsnachfrage und des anhaltenden Beschäftigungsaufbaus aber der Einschätzung weichen, dass sich nach Jahren des überdurchschnittlichen Wachstums das Tempo der deutschen Wirtschaft normalisiert. Der allmähliche Abbau der gut ausgelasteten Kapazitäten geht mit geringeren Zuwächsen des Bruttoinlandsprodukts einher; dies wird kurzfristig aber noch durch Nachholeffekte in der Automobilindustrie nach den Produktions- und Auslieferungsproblemen und durch die finanzpolitischen Einkommensschübe zum Jahresbeginn 2019 – Stichwort Sozialversicherungsbeiträge – überlagert werden.
