Investitionstätigkeit in Berlin: Schulen und Verkehr kommen zu kurz

In Berlin, as elsewhere, public investment is critical to an individual’s life satisfaction and a prerequisite for positive economic development. This means the capital city is worse off than Hamburg, for example. To strengthen public investment activity, Berlin’s administrative practices should be thoroughly reviewed in order to gain an overview of its asset situation and public investment requirements. Mit Blick auf die Investitionstätigkeit in Berlin ergibt sich ein gemischtes Bild. Die Stadt hat im Jahr 2014 im Kernhaushalt und über öffentliche Unternehmen immerhin insgesamt 2,8 Milliarden Euro und damit etwa 810 Euro pro EinwohnerIn investiert. Die Hauptstadt steht damit allerdings schlechter da als beispielsweise Hamburg.
