Ökonomische Wirkungen der Fußball-WM 2006 in Deutschland zum Teil überschätzt

Abstract

Inzwischen liegen fünf Studien zu den volkswirtschaftlichen Wirkungen der Fußball- WM vor. Naturgemäß behandeln alle nur Teilaspekte, da die gesamte ökonomische Bedeutung des Sportereignisses mit seiner Vielzahl von Wechselwirkungen nicht quantifizierbar ist. Überhaupt nicht messbar sind z.B. die längerfristig wirksamen Imageeffekte. Bei vorliegenden Schätzungen zeigen sich zum Teil erhebliche Differenzen bezüglich des Ausmaßes der jeweils ermittelten Teilwirkungen. Eine vergleichende Bewertung der Studien führt zu der Schlussfolgerung, dass die Fußball-WM 2006 in Deutschland keine nennenswerten konjunkturellen Effekte hatte.
