Lehrerbedarf an beruflichen Schulen bis zum Jahre 2025

Abstract

Die Personallage an den beruflichen Schulen in Deutschland wird sich kurzfristig entspannen. Aktuelle Berechnungen des DIW Berlin zeigen, dass der Ersatzbedarf geringer ausfällt als bislang angenommen, hauptsächlich weil sich die Bedingungen, vorzeitig aus dem Schuldienst auszuscheiden, merklich verschlechtert haben. Im Jahre 1999 wurden darüber hinaus 5 800 neue Berufsschullehrer eingestellt. Dieser Wert entspricht annähernd dem vom DIW Berlin berechneten Bedarf bis zum Jahre 2005. Dies darf jedoch nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass bei den beruflichen Schulen noch immer Handlungsbedarf besteht: Die Schüler-Lehrer-Relation hat sich weiter verschlechtert, und jeder Fünfte verlässt die Berufsschule ohne Abschluss. Mittel- und langfristig verschärft sich die Personallage auch wieder, da die derzeitigen Lehrkräfte "überaltert" sind.
