Unbefristete Vollzeitbeschäftigung nach wie vor dominierende Erwerbsform in Europa

Abstract

Auf den Arbeitsmärkten der Europäischen Union (EU) dominieren nach wie vor unbefristete Vollzeiterwerbsverhältnisse. Gleichwohl sind auch andere Erwerbsformen (befristete Tätigkeiten, Teilzeitarbeit, Selbständig-keit) von erheblicher Bedeutung. Dabei gibt es große Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Ländern. Besonders ausgeprägt sind die Differenzen bei der Erwerbstätigkeit von Frauen: Deutschland liegt bei der Erwerbstätigenquote im oberen und in Bezug auf den Anteil unbefristeter Vollzeitbeschäftigungsverhältnisse im unteren Mittelfeld der EU. Hier weisen die skandinavischen Länder, aber auch Frankreich und Luxemburg die höchsten Anteile auf. In Dänemark wird dabei gleichzeitig die höchste Erwerbstätigenquote bei Frauen innerhalb der EU erreicht. In Luxemburg, Deutschland, den Niederlanden und Österreich sind die Anteile von Männern in unbefristeten Vollzeitarbeitsverhältnissen besonders hoch. Dabei weisen die Niederlande die höchste Erwerbstätigenquote auf. Dort ist dagegen bei den weiblichen Erwerbstätigen - bei durchschnittlicher Erwerbstätigenquote - der Anteil unbefristeter Vollzeitarbeitsverhältnisse am geringsten. Dem steht ein entsprechend hohes Gewicht anderer Erwerbsformen gegenüber; geringfügige Beschäftigung ist in den Niederlanden wesentlich stärker verbreitet als in den anderen EU-Ländern. Insgesamt gesehen kann aber von einer "Erosion des Normalarbeitsverhältnisses" in Europa nicht gesprochen werden.
