Zur Entwicklung der Bauwirtschaft 2000 und 2001: Produktionsniveau wird nur knapp gehalten

Abstract

Das Bauvolumen für Deutschland insgesamt belief sich 1999 auf 532,8 Mrd. DM (zu Preisen von 1995) und lag damit wieder leicht unter dem Vorjahrsniveau (535,9 Mrd. DM). In Westdeutschland stagnierte die Bauleistung - der leichte Rückgang, der in den Hochbaubereichen zu verzeichnen war, wurden durch einen deutlichen Anstieg des gewerblichen und öffentlichen Tiefbaus kompensiert. In Ostdeutschland war für das Bauvolumen insgesamt ein Minus von 2,6 % zu verzeichnen. Dabei wurde der anhaltende Produktionsrückgang im Hochbau nicht durch die kräftige Belebung in den Tiefbaubereichen ausgeglichen. Trotz eines dynamischen konjunkturellen Aufschwungs ist eine deutliche Beschleunigung der Baukonjunktur nicht in Sicht. Vielmehr ist mit einer geringen Abschwächung oder Stagnation der gesamten Bauleistung zu rechnen (bei einem weiteren Minus um 2 % im Osten und allenfalls einem leichten Plus im Westen). Auch für das kommende Jahr ist kein Zuwachs in Sicht, vielmehr dürfte in beiden Landesteilen die "Null-bis-Minus"-Tendenz vorherrschen.
