Westliche Industrieländer: weltweiter Zinsanstieg - Ballast für den Aufschwung

Abstract

Die konjunkturelle Entwicklung in den westlichen Industrieländern ist im Verlauf dieses Jahres einheitlicher geworden. ln den Vereinigten Staaten hielt die kräftige Expansion nahezu unvermindert an. ln Japan hat sich die Konjunktur, wenn auch zunächst nur zögerlich, von der Talsohle gelöst. Überraschend ist die kräftige Aufwärtsbewegung in einer Reihe von kontinentaleuropäischen Ländern seit Beginn des Jahres. Hier war nur mit einer sehr moderaten Belebung gerechnet worden. Die Investitionsnachfrage ist dabei offenbar die treibende Kraft, und dies, obwohl die Konsumnachfrage insgesamt weiter sehr verhalten ist.
