Abstract

This paper deals with the potential of investor-side dialogue strategies for climate protection and sustainable transformation. For this purpose, challenges such as conflicting goals, unintended effects and limits of a possible impact potential are analyzed and hurdles that stand in the way of the best possible contribution of this instrument for climate protection and sustainability are illuminated. Finally, the findings are used to derive options for action to improve the quality and impact of dialog strategies, which are available to the three groups of actors: investors, service providers and the public sector.
