Abstract

The deficiencies in the teaching-learning process in the Psychiatry subject, led to the need to design a teaching unit for the appropriation of depression content. This article has an objective to determine the theoretical foundations of the curricular microdesign of a teaching unit for the appropriation of depression content in the teaching-learning process of the Psychiatry subject. The microdesign is based on philosophical, psychological, sociological, didactic, and medical education science foundations. It assumes the principles of permanent and continuous training, of Education at Work. Based on de current foundations of medical education science and other related scientific discipline the definition and elaboration of the didactic unit "Depression and its impact on health" is achieved, with multitrans disciplinary focus for the appropriation of depression content in the teaching-learning process.
