Abstract

In the educational system, the recognition of inclusive education based on respect for sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions is temporary. In Mexico, school spaces have been characterized by being infested with discriminatory practices against sexual dissident populations. This is mainly due to the fact that the foundations of the education system are built from cisgenderism and heteronomatization. This work seeks to approach the barriers that trans children and adolescents face in the educational field, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for inclusion. To this end, the study is presented from the exercise of the right to self-perceived gender identity permeated by the right to non-discrimination based on age, passing through the right to education and culminating with the perspective and prospective of the right to inclusive education of trans childhoods and adolescence in Mexico.
