Abstract

This research article examines the enduring resonance of classical Chinese poetry, focusing on the Tang Dynasty verse, 'As the bright moon shines over the sea, from far away you share this moment with me.' The study explores how the poem's themes of cross-temporal empathy and natural imagery are reinterpreted in He Yuanjun's modern verse, offering a philosophical lens on contemporary life. By analyzing the structural and thematic continuities between classical and modern poetic forms, the article reveals how ancient motifs are transformed into reflections on human connection, temporality, and the natural world. The methodology includes a comparative textual analysis of classical and modern works, highlighting the evolution of poetic expression while maintaining an intrinsic emotional core. The findings suggest that the philosophical underpinnings of classical poetry continue to inspire and shape modern literary thought, bridging cultural and temporal divides.
