The Role of New Media in the Popularization of International Education Information and Education Equity

This review examines the role of new media in disseminating international education information and promoting educational equity across diverse global contexts. Platforms such as social media, MOOCs, AI-powered adaptive tools, and mobile applications significantly enhance students' awareness of international programs, engagement in learning opportunities, and preparedness for cross-border education. Quantitative evidence indicates positive correlations between digital platform usage and participation in international programs, while case studies highlight the potential for new media to reduce geographic, socioeconomic, and linguistic barriers. Despite these benefits, challenges such as the digital divide, algorithmic biases, and uneven access persist. The review synthesizes theoretical insights, empirical findings, and policy implications, emphasizing the importance of integrated, inclusive, and data-driven digital strategies to enhance global education accessibility and equity.
