Abstract

Learning assessment in higher education has undergone a significant transformation in the digital era, especially accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been reflected in the evolution of assessment methods, from their traditional forms to their adaptation to the current digital environment, based on the development of professional competencies by implementing both formative and summative methods. Due to this situation, the objective was to carry out a systematic literature review to understand how the integration of digital resources has enriched the evaluation process in face-to-face and virtual environments. To carry out this reflection, the PRISMA method was used, which allowed us to build a state of the art based on texts that address the issue of the digital transformation of evaluation through the administration of tests, data collection, and rapid and effective feedback for both students and teachers; in universities and educational centers in Ibero-America during the period from 2019 to 2024. It is concluded that the effective integration of technological tools for educational evaluation, in addition to the adoption of digital resources, facilitate teaching and improve the evaluation process, in turn increasing students' commitment to their own learning by allowing them to actively monitor their academic performance.
