Abstract

This study analyzes and describes the development perspectives of the potable water service in Sinaloa, Mexico, as well as the relationship between its public administration and water resource management. Through a documentary analysis and the review of interviews with key stakeholders, aspects of efficiency, sustainability, and equity in water management are examined, highlighting challenges such as scarcity, pollution, and unequal distribution. Likewise, public policies implemented in this area, their impact, and potential improvement strategies are reviewed. The Atlas.ti software was used for data processing and correlation. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening citizen participation and transparency in water management to achieve sustainable development.
