Abstract

This book review explores the historical and political context surrounding the assassination of Patrice Lumumba, the first Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It examines the role of the United States and other foreign powers in the events leading to Lumumba’s death, drawing on newly declassified documents and scholarly research. The review highlights the implications of this Cold War episode for contemporary understandings of international relations and foreign intervention.
