Abstract

Este Article tiene por objetivo realizar un breve análisis y un diagnóstico de los problemas que enfrenta el destino en materia de gestión turística. La primera sección corresponde a la investigación documental, que contextualiza el estudio; la segunda, refiere los resultados de la investigación empírica, a fin de identificar la visión de los agentes económicos relacionados con el desarrollo turístico en la zona, respecto de las ventajas y desventajas de la ubicación territorial y su percepción respecto de la competitividad del destino. Los resultados refieren que la problemática observada corresponde a la pérdida de competitividad del destino, derivado de un modelo turístico aplicado sin considerar las características y dinámicas territoriales ni las dimensiones básicas del desarrollo sustentable.
