Los derechos económicos, sociales y culturales desde la perspectiva de la economía teórica

Abstract

En los últimos 40 años la economía ha tendido a aceptar el pensamiento liberal e incorporarlo a la teoría económica. Este trabajo trata de analizar si los derechos económicos, sociales y culturales (DESC) son incompatibles con el pensamiento liberal. Tal como veremos dentro de esta investigación, salvo algunas excepciones, los DESC no tienen cabida dentro de la teoría económica actual. En consecuencia, no cabe plantearse un debate que ponga de un lado a la economía teórica actual y de otro a los DESC, como si fuesen incompatibles. Sino que cabe desarrollar líneas de trabajo enfocadas a crear puentes de entendimiento entre los DESC y la teoría económica.
