Feminización en la migración ecuatoriana en el período 2001 - 2010

Abstract

Diversos autores sostienen que los flujos migratorios internacionales desde los países de Latinoamérica de comienzos del siglo XXI se vieron caracterizados por una feminización debida a muchos factores de los países de origen y destino. Sin embargo, los datos disponibles del Censo 2010 revelan lo contrario en el caso ecuatoriano, poniendo en evidencia que durante el período 2001-2010 la participación de ambos sexos fue casi constante, incluso en las fluctuaciones significativas que respondieron particularmente a los cambios de políticas migratorias de Europa y crisis económica en los países de destino.
