Sistema para la identificación de tendencias: toma de decisiones a través del análisis de coyuntura y contexto[System for trend identification: decision-making through context and situational analysis]

The research aims to enhance decision-making inputs by developing a monitoring system for security situations, named the System for Trend Identification, Situational, and Contextual Analysis (SITAC). This tool enables the identification of trends at national, regional, and local levels. The system generates additional inputs for crafting reports and analyzing the operational environment, strengthening contextual understanding and anticipating impacts on institutional reputation. Although the National Army has sought to understand the situational context using technological, human, and economic resources, it has faced challenges in systematicity, sustainability, and rigor. The project seeks to address these issues by creating a security situation monitoring system based on media representation, enabling trend identification and thereby enhancing command decision-making. Inductive methodologies were employed to ensure the system adapts to the fluidity of reality, leveraging technology to optimize information collection, data processing, and analysis. The system incorporates an integration frontend, programming languages compatible with the Army’s technological requirements (Java, R, or Python), and tests focused on automation.
