Abstract

Las orientaciones y decisiones más recientes del gobierno de Rafael Correa han venido a acentuar inquietudes que ya expresáramos en el balance del primer ano de la autodenominada Revolución Ciudadana (www.alainet. org/active/25357&lang=es). Como se recordará, Correa logró la adhesión mayoritaria de los votantes en el ballotage del 2006 –incluido, por cierto, el respaldo virtualmente unánime de los partidos de izquierda y demás fuerzas y organizaciones antisistema- por su compromiso de sepultar el modelo liberal esquizofrénico (Estado del bienestar para los ricos, Estado mínimo para los pobres), institucionalizado en el Ecuador a partir de la administración del demócrata cristiano Osvaldo Hurtado (1981-84).
