Mujeres negras vicheras: una mirada al empoderamiento en el Pacífico colombiano

Abstract

Esta investigación tuvo como propósito analizar el empoderamiento de las mujeres negras vicheras en relación con el desarrollo de las comunidades afrodescendientes del Pacífico colombiano. Para la elaboración del estudio, se planteó una metodología de enfoque cualitativo, por lo que se aplicaron 44 entrevistas (semiestructuradas, en profundidad y colectivas) a mujeres productoras o comercializadoras de viche como técnica de recolección de información. De igual manera, se realizó un análisis cualitativo, a través del software Atlas.Ti que permitió vislumbrar la relación del proceso de empoderamiento de las mujeres y el desarrollo de su comunidad. A partir de lo anterior, se pudo determinar que las prácticas culturales, como la producción de viche, contribuyen a la movilización y transformación de las comunidades. Asimismo, el rol de las mujeres es representativo en este proceso productivo.
