La mujer en la vida nacional: tres revoluciones recientes 1970-2005

Abstract

La sociedad colombiana está aún lejos de lograr reducir, de manera significativa, las diferencias inexplicables e injustas entre hombres y mujeres, pilar fundamental para avanzar en lo que debería ser la gran meta del país: la equidad social, que empieza sin duda por la equidad de género. Con el objeto de contribuir a la comprensión de los procesos que las colombianas han seguido a través del tiempo, análisis que permitirá identificar más claramente las barreras que aún limitan su desempeño en condiciones más igualitarias, se presentan en este artículo las tres grandes revoluciones que las mujeres han protagonizado desde principios del siglo XX hasta hoy. Parodiando a Stephan Zweig, se trata de analizar estos cambios en los últimos 35 años de la vida de la mujer colombiana, que coinciden con el aniversario de Fedesarrollo, que se celebra a través de muchos eventos y de este número especial de Coyuntura Económica.
