Impacto de las noticias sobre el mercado de deuda pública interna en Colombia

Abstract

“Este trabajo investiga cuál es el impacto que tiene la publicación de nueva información económica y política, sobre los precios de los bonos de deuda pública en Colombia. Con esto se pretende identificar si el mercado de TES es sensible a la publicación de noticias económicas o políticas y si su reacción se ajusta a un análisis a priori de dichas variables. Se realizaron dos estimaciones econométricas que buscan corregir la presencia de heteroscedasticidad, algo típico en las series de activos financieros. El primer modelo se calculó utilizando una metodología de Errores Estándar Robustos y en el segundo se construyó un CARCH. Las conclusiones apuntan a que el mercado de TES reacciona de forma rápida a la nueva información disponible, particularmente a las noticias asociadas a acuerdos con entidades multilaterales, cambios en la calificación crediticia y política monetaria.”
