A atuacao das elites políticas regionais e sua repercussao no desenvolvimento do planalto médio gaucho no brasil, 1930-1945

Abstract

Este artigo procurou demonstrar como as elites políticas regionais gaúchas atuaram no cenário da poca abrangendo um recorte temporal entre os anos de 1930 a 1945. Efetuou-se uma abordagem referente aos fatores sociais, políticos e economicos que possibilitaram o desenvolvimento e ou crescimento dessa regiao, preenchendo as lacunas deixadas pela história nacional com documentos, notícias, notas e insercoes que demonstram as particularidades e a identidade local. Ainda analisamos através dos coeficientes locacionais as potencialidades dos municípios de Passo Fundo e Carazinho, e com base no Censo de 1940 elencamos os fatores de especializacao em nível regional e local. Concluiu-se que as elites políticas faziam parte do contexto institucional de modo direto ou indireto, e davam suporte ao governo, especialmente ao federal, ao passo que as elites economicas atuavam nos diversos segmentos da sociedade, destacando-se em diferentes ocupacoes e profissoes.
