Elementos para la construcción de un modelo de gestión dirigido a la banca comunal en Ecuador

Abstract

Este artículo presenta aproximaciones para la elaboración de un modelo de gestión diri-gido a la banca comunal para el Ecuador. El estudio comparativo de las organizaciones, Banca Comunal A de la ciudad de Latacunga y el Banco Comunitario B de la ciudad de Quito1, visibilizó la urgencia de herramientas de gestión apropiadas a sus realidades, considerando que sus prácticas y principios, inclusión, ayuda mutua, solidaridad, auto-gestión y participación democrática, difieren de la banca convencional y se enmarcan en las finanzas populares y solidarias. La información cuantitativa-cualitativa, producto del trabajo de campo, permitió comprender las dinámicas internas y las relaciones ex-ternas de las organizaciones y, posterior, establecer los elementos básicos del modelo de gestión que se propone en este trabajo.
