Oportunidades y compromisos para el desarrollo de políticas de cohesión social en los municipios fronterizos de San José de Cúcuta (Colombia) y Bolivar (Venezuela)

Abstract

Los nuevos enfoques de desarrollo en América Latina, apuntan al compromiso de reducir los altos índices de pobreza y desigualdad, aún existentes en la región. Los diversos escenarios económicos y sociales adversos, presentes en los municipios fronterizos de Cúcuta (Colombia) y Bolívar (Venezuela) son el reflejo de políticas erradas y contrarias a los intereses de los habitantes de la región. Este artículo muestra que las oportunidades de desarrollo presentes, requieren que los planes y programas que se implementen para estos espacios, se fundamenten en el diseno de políticas de cohesión social más inclusivas y bajo una perspectiva binacional que permita la solución de los problemas sin la afectación de los ciudadanos.
