Bolivia, 2003-2008: un período de profundas transformaciones políticas y económicas

Abstract

Resumen: Bolivia entró en el último lustro en un periodo de profundas transformaciones políticas y económicas, evidenciadas en una serie de reformas que el presidente Evo Morales ha realizado después de su asenso al poder en enero de 2006 y con él el partido de izquierda Movimiento al Socialismo. Este giro es consecuencia de la crisis de representatividad de los partidos tradicionales y su senalamiento como responsables de la precaria situación que vivía el pueblo boliviano. Dichos cambios han generado el resurgimiento de fuertes grupos de presión que buscan, a través de referendos, autonomías regionales y ratificaciones de poder y, en consecuencia, una situación de inestabilidad política en este país.
