Crisis externa y desaceleración de la economía colombiana en 2008-2009: coyuntura y perspectivas

Abstract

Resumen: en 2008, el contexto macroeconómico colombiano desmejoró ostensiblemente en relación con el ano anterior: la economía creció a una tasa del 2,5%, registrando una fuerte desaceleración del PIB en comparación con 2007 (7,5%), aumentó la tasa de inflación a 7,7% y se registró un preocupante deterioro de los indicadores del mercado laboral. El cambio de rumbo de la economía colombiana está relacionado tanto con factores internos, como externos. Entre los internos se encuentran el debilitamiento del ciclo expansivo de la construcción, la inflación de costos y la menor disposición de gasto por parte de los hogares y de las firmas. Los externos están relacionados principalmente con la crisis financiera internacional y sus repercusiones sobre la demanda mundial que se comenzaron a sentir en el último trimestre de 2008, cuando el PIB en el país decreció a una tasa de -0,7%.
