Estilos de dirección en el sector salud en Colombia

Abstract

El trabajo describe las relaciones emergentes entre los comportamientos de liderazgo, los tipos de poder y las tácticas de influencia de los líderes sobre sus colaboradores en dos hospitales universitarios en Colombia. Para para evaluar estas relaciones se utilizaron instrumentos asociados a cada fenómeno: el inventario de prácticas directivas, la escala para la evaluación de las bases de poder social de French y Raven y el cuestionario de tácticas de influencia. A partir de un análisis de correspondencias múltiples y análisis de clasificación se identificaron tres clústeres conformados por múltiples comportamientos de liderazgo, varios tipos de poder y diferentes tácticas de influencia, a estos se les denominó estilos de dirección. Como resultado, se propone una taxonomía inicial de tres estilos de dirección: apoyo, mixto y restrictivo. Se destacan la presión y la coerción como los elementos que mayor diferenciación provocan entre los estilos de dirección propuestos.
